So you think that having a band will make you hot, you're gonna get all the gigs 'cause they know you rock, but you don't work hard and don't put in the time so now you write shit songs and you know they're a crime. And i remember when you started out and loved to play. You said that playing on guitar and singing was your day, but now you just slack off but hate what you do and think you'll get in the scene once they see what you can do.
So I'm asking you. What are you doing it for? 'cause seriously, i just don't know why
Tell me what you'll do and how you'll make it big 'cause the more you lie the bigger whole you dig. Listen to me 'cause you don't have a clue, you're trying to call yourself a band when you don't know what to do.
So I'm telling you. Don't do it if you're not fully into it. Don't even come if you're not gonna bring it.
Are you in it for the good time? Or just in it for the good ride? Please don't think this scene is light. So take it with your best stride. Are you here because you're hardcore? Or just here because you want more? More money, more fame, more power, more likes.
Your mates ain't gonna tell you if you're good or crap. You gotta get out and perform, you gotta earn those claps. You gotta, sing hard. You gotta, sound large. You gotta show them who's boss, you gotta take charge. Because its gotta blow up. Its gotta be huge. You gotta give it all you got or else you will have to move, and you've only got one shot you gotta do it right. You can't take it for granted 'cause this scene ain't light.
So now I'm asking you again. What are you doing it for? 'cause still, i just don't know why
Tell me what you'll do, tell me what you'll say. Tell me all the steps you'll take and how you'll get your way, and i'll tell you straight up your plan wont work. you gotta have a bit of talent you just can't go berserk.
So now i'm telling you again.

We rule the land and now we'll rule the sea. We're by far the most intelligent species. So when a beast attacks a human being leaving the worst sight that you've ever seen its clear to me that the message is to
STAY OFF OUR TURF
So what we gonna do this beast is coming near. You get rid of the problem and you'll get rid of the fear. 'Cause when I see a shark I wanna see it dead. I wanna put a bullet straight through its head in a world where we just shoot for fun, I wanna see them killed I wanna see them gone.
Don't have to fight for it, let them all just live in peace.
Conflict over territory, it's not the Middle East.
We're not superior, we're not the only living and deserving breed.
We're just a man in a shark's sea.
We see the drums go up the hooks and all the gear. When the average shark death stat is one per year. Appreciate the beauty of the sea, the sharks are just as important as you and me. But the sharks will be killed by a gun. Don't want to see them killed don't want to see them gone.
Don't have to fight for it, let them all just live in peace.
Conflict over territory, it's not the Middle East.
We're not superior, we're not the only living and deserving breed.

Marley and Me

I wanna write songs like Bob Marley, they told me I should aim as far as I can dream. Grab some mates get together make a band and, go rehearse go gig have some jams and be part of a team. Make beats to just get you boppin', make rhymes to get people talking, 'bout what you said.
smoke some weed it's what all the Rastas say, but we don't need drugs to make our reggae or the dreads.
Didn't need to struggle through the times of babylon. Didn't need to grow our hair out long. We didn't need weed or other drugs to write this song. 'Cause reggae's the wonderful world, where everyone can belong.
Try change me from the rhythm that I'm feeling. We keep it real even though we don't fit in, the stereotype. Inspiration's hard to find when I'm writing, but what inspires me are those who are fighting, to live day after day.
Didn't need to struggle through the times of babylon. Didn't need to grow our hair out long. We didn't need weed or other drugs to write this song. 'Cause reggae's the wonderful world, where everyone can belong.

Won't Be Fooled!

Can't you see the mess that you have done?
Makes you wanna sit and think of what our country has become
Can't you see the groups you've treated poorly
Can't you see that all these people are turning on you slowly
Bunch of lies and rumours and placing the blame
On the opposition who are sick of all your games
Gonna turn this country into a joke
But that's alright, you've worked hard grab a cigar and have a smoke
We are the future and we're proud
We'll stand together we are loud
It's social justice that we lack
We'll bring society back on track
We are the voice that's left unheard
We are the silenced younger third
See through the lies and the distractions
We won't stop till we see action
Times are tough with families needing a break
And working adults find it hard, to get a cent of what they make
But instead of making sure they're healthy
Like an backwards Robin Hood, you rob the poor to feed the wealthy
We are the future and we're proud
We'll stand together we are loud
It's social justice that we lack
We'll bring society back on track
We are the voice that's left unheard
We are the silenced younger third
See through the lies and the distractions
We won't stop till we see action
Beat around the bush were not going away
Till we get our justice were going to stay
And we won't be fooled we won't be moved
And we won't be fooled we won't be moved
So get up stand up for what you believe
We are the future and we're proud
We'll stand together we are loud
It's social justice that we lack
We'll bring society back on track
We are the voice that's left unheard
We are the silenced younger third
See through the lies and the distractions
We won't stop till we see action

Claim It!

Does it make you feel real special when you claim that music, claim that period, claim that genre? Does it give a sense of power when you claim that artist, claim that song before your friends found out and followed you? And then you claimed and said you heard them before they were cool. But two years later you changed genre and said that they are fools. And find another band to brag about when you're in school, there's a fine line between a hipster and a great big tool.
Take it easy 'cause our music tastes are not complete. Who said your music tastes were so elite? It's not a game and bands don't play hide and seek. So whats wrong with liking a band when they're at their peak?
Tell me why, does it have to be a competition? When it comes to music taste, don't be elitist, 'cause there's no reason. It's a beautiful thing that we're all different - different cultures, different pasts, different place. We're all unique, we're not the same. So don't think we should have the same -
Taste in music like it black or white. Stay away from that artist like a dog that bites. They're too mainstream and they're not as good as back in their day, I only listen to bands who are on TripleJ. 'Cause I'm an indie kid, was cool before you even knew. But two years ago I liked JB and Justice Crew. Our identity's to like something only when it's new, but then ditch them once our friends find out and like it too. So i ask a simple question which lingers in my mind. Are you part of a group, you know, the elite kind? "We're ahead of the world and let the lame fall behind", but I'm gonna be sick, 'cause you sound like a dick, when you're talking. Every time! Our sole ambition is to beat our peers and be number one. The Earth revolves around us like it does around the sun. Centre attention like a king who's ruling everyone. But it's gonna be mutiny against you arrogant, self-righteous scums.
Take it easy 'cause our music tastes are not complete. Who said your music tastes were so elite? It's not a game and bands don't play hide and seek. So whats wrong with liking a band when they're at their peak?
